🏓 Pong Classic
The original showdown: you versus the machine — first to 5 wins the glory.
How to play Pong Classic
How to play
Pong Classic is the granddaddy of video games: a lightning-fast rally between your paddle on the left and the computer's paddle on the right. The ball bounces back and forth, picking up speed with every paddle hit. Slip it past the computer's paddle to score — but if it sails past yours, the point goes to the machine. The first side to reach 5 points wins the match, so every rally matters.
Controls
- Mouse: move your cursor over the game area — your paddle follows it.
- Touch: drag your finger up and down on the game area.
- Keyboard: Up / Down arrows or W / S move the paddle.
- Press the Play button to start the match, Play Again for a rematch.
Tips
- Don't camp in the middle — shadow the ball's height so you're already in position before it arrives.
- Hit the ball with the edge of your paddle to send it off at a steep, hard-to-reach angle.
- The computer tracks the ball well but has a limited top speed — long, fast rallies are your friend.
- After you score, use the brief pause to re-center your paddle.
Scoring
Each rally is worth exactly 1 point, awarded to the player whose opponent missed the return. There are no style points — just a race to 5. The ball gets a little faster after every paddle hit, so the endgame rallies are genuinely tense. Win the match and you can hit Play Again for an instant rematch against a computer that never gets tired.
